Hanna Johnson, PharmD

Hanna Johnson is the Pharmacist in Charge and Director of Compliance. Originally from New England, Hanna relocated to Tucson, Arizona to attend the University of Arizona for both undergraduate and graduate studies.  “Bear Down!”. Hanna graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2015 and has been a vital Avrio Pharmacy team member since she started with the company in 2014. Hanna has a passion for helping our patients and providers in all aspects of her work.  She specializes in non-sterile and sterile compounding, veterinary medicine, specialty pharmacy, reproductive endocrinology, and other specialized areas of care. In her spare time, you can find Hanna on the pickleball courts at any hour of the day or spending time with her husband, two kids, and two dogs. 

Keith Barron, PharmD

Keith earned his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, he relocated to sunny Scottsdale, AZ after graduating in 2010 to start his career as a pharmacist. Keith enjoys working with the great Avrio Pharmacy team to create a unique pharmacy experience that both patients and providers love and trust. Keith still follows his favorite Pittsburgh sports teams from afar and still enjoys trips back east to visit family and friends. In his spare time, you will find Keith spending quality time with his wife, son, dogs, family, and friends.

Gelila Fente, PharmD

Gelila Fente is a proud graduate from Midwestern University College of Pharmacy in Glendale, Arizona. Born and raised in Southern California, Gelila moved to Arizona in 2015 where she earned her PharmD degree in 2018. She is the Director of Call Center where she oversees and provides excellent customer service to patients, providers, and clients regarding their medication needs. Gelila is passionate about traveling and exploring different countries, cultures, and cuisines.  One would call her a foodie.  There is not a new restaurant that Gelila has not heard about and tried in the valley. You can find her spending her free time exploring new hiking trails, catching up with friends, and watching Formula1 Racing.

Shaya Jalali

Shaya Jalali is the Marketing Director here at Avrio Pharmacy. He graduated from ASU with a BS in Biological Sciences with an emphasis on medicinal health. Shaya is responsible for developing marketing strategies, nurturing relationships with healthcare providers, and staying updated on new pharmacy regulations and therapies.
Shaya is also a 2nd degree black belt, and has been a drummer for over 20 years! His favorite motto is “Everything you want is on the other side of hard” -Monty Williams. He would like to shout out his 3 dogs Yoda, Boba, and Obie, and his pet pig Keebler!
Shaya wanted to share that “I searched my whole life for a place where I could have a direct impact on patient care, and healthcare in general, while not having to compromise my ethics or morals. Avrio is that. I was the first employee of Avrio and helped nurture the business and watch its’ evolution through the years and I could not be more proud for what we’ve created”.

Vaheed Safarmehdi, PharmD

Vaheed is a proud graduate of the University of Pacific School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. He is the Director of Compounding Lab Operations for Avrio Pharmacy. Vaheed and his team are dedicated to providing high-quality compounded medications to meet the unique needs of our patients. He enjoys working at Avrio Pharmacy where we have all the capabilities of larger compounding pharmacies but with a more personal touch. Before pursuing a career in Pharmacy, Vaheed played semi-professional soccer in Vancouver, Canada. In Vaheed’s spare time, you can find him spending time with his wife and twin boys, catching up with friends, enjoying professional sports, and attending local concerts and events.
