Menopause and Perimenopause

Menopause is a natural response to aging in women as they transition to post-reproductive years. Each woman experiences symptoms differently with varying severity. These symptoms often begin during the perimenopause phase, which is the time just before menopause. Common symptoms include:

  • Decreased Libido
  • Cloudy Thinking
  • Vaginal Dryness
  • Mood Swings
  • Hot flashes
  • Night sweats
  • Insomnia
  • Chronic Fatigue

These symptoms are triggered as ovaries begin to decrease production of estrogen and progesterone causing irregular menstruation cycles, which can last for up to 10 years. These cycles will eventually end as hormone levels decrease drastically. Treatment methods vary from individual to individual depending on duration and severity of symptoms. Compounded BHRT is a method to address individual needs and restore hormone levels to the body’s natural balance thus reducing or eliminating symptoms.
