Adrenal Insufficiency

Hypoadrenalism is an imbalance of hormones which originate from the adrenal gland. The primary hormones produced by the adrenal glands include cortisol and DHEA, both of which are steroidal. Causes of this imbalance can include an autoimmune response, which leads to physical damage to the adrenal gland or even an insufficient trigger of the adrenal gland which is caused by other bodily hormones. Common symptoms of hypoadrenalism include:

  • Anxiety
  • Irritability
  • Fatigue
  • Lethargy
  • Suppressed Appetite
  • Depression
  • Weakness
